This Palace combines Moorish, Gothic and Manueline styles, according to the new construction added to the former building, from which the Moorish room (lined with beautiful and rare tiles, that are part of the magnificent set of tiles displayed in the palace), can still be found. Many of its rooms take names after the motives painted in their ceilings, like the Swans Room, the Mermaids Room, the magpies Room or the Cresta Room. Outside, two conically-shaped chimney towers from the most distinctive landmark on the Sintra skyline.
